General Photo Contest Details

	All photographs must be taken by the entrant and be unpublished at the time of submission.
	Prizes will be awarded for the best photos. Photos should reflect, in a visually interesting and creative way, animals and your love for them.
	Prizes will be given in the following age groups: (A.) Photographers 17 years and under; (B.) Amateur Photographers 18 years and older; and (C.) Professional Photographers 18 years and under. To be considered, we ask that you indicate your age group by letter (A, B, or C) with your submission.
	The contest is open to photographers only. Each participant may enter up to three submissions. Students 18 and under may submit photos at NO COST. There is a $20 entrance fee for adults over the age of 18. Checks made payable to the Atlanta Animal Alliance or AAA.
	Photographs must be 4 inches by 6 inches and may be either color or black and white. (We request that all contest participants retain their photo negatives, as winners may be asked to send their negatives to us for reproduction.) Photographers are responsible for picking up their own photos by May 1, 2008.
	Affix a 3 by 5- inch card containing the following information for each submission: photographer’s name, address, phone number, and age group. If you submit digital photographs, they must be high resolution-- at least 300 dpi and 8 x 10.
	All entries must be accompanied by photo release form and entrance fees. Photo release form must include the names and signatures of all people whose faces are clearly shown in the photo.

Photos submitted to the Atlanta Animal Alliance, Inc. must include a signed Photo Release Form for each individual that appears in submitted photographs. Minors (under the age of 18) who appear in submitted photographs must have a parent/legal guardian sign their release; subjects 18 years and older can sign their own release form. Please use 35mm film in color or black & white print, or high-resolution digital images. For digital images, please use high-resolution jpeg format of at least 300 dpi.

I give to the Atlanta Animal Alliance, Inc, its nominees, agents, and assigns unlimited permissions to use, publish, and republish for purposes of advertising, public relations, trade, or any other lawful use, photographic or digital images and information about me and reproductions of my likeness (photographic or otherwise) and my voice, whether or not related to any affiliation with the Atlanta Animal Alliance, Inc, with or without my name.

Photo Contest Rules and Regulations

1. The 2008 photography contest is open to United States residents who are 18 years of age or older. No purchase is necessary to enter. Winners may be required to provide proof of age.

2. The contest will run between February 14 and April 9, 2008. All photographs, entry forms and releases must be post-marked by Saturday, April 6, 2008. Late entries will be disqualified.

3. A completed contest entry form must accompany each photograph. Entries must be signed (manually or electronically) and dated. Only entry forms with complete, accurate legible information will be considered eligible.

4. Photographs must be previously unpublished. Photographs that have been published in any form prior to entry into the contest will be disqualified.

5. All photographs must be in sharp focus. Prints must be at least the size of a standard snapshot or larger and be printed on photographic paper. Images printed on ink jet paper will not be accepted.

6. All digital images must be at least 4 x 6 inches at 300 dpi.

7. By submitting a photograph, the photographer is certifying that individuals in the photo have agreed to release the use of their image to the Atlanta Animal Alliance, Inc.

8. Photographers may enter more than one photograph. Each entry must include a separate photograph and separate entry form which also acts as the subject(s) release form. Any violation of this provision will result in disqualification of the entry.

9. All entries will not be returned to the photographer. The Atlanta Animal Alliance, Inc reserves the right to use the photographs in printed promotional materials without paying compensation to the photographer or the subjects.

10. Prizes will be awarded only to entries that the contest judges deem worthy. Some prizes may not be awarded if no acceptable entries are received. All decisions by the judges are final.

11. The contest is void wherever restricted or prohibited by state or local laws.

12. Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the judging organization, which are final on all matters pertaining to contests. The return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selections of an alternate winner.

13. By entering, participants release and hold harmless the Atlanta Animal Alliance, Inc, as well as any directors, officers or employees of this organization from any and all liability for any injuries, lost or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the contest.
