The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable and experienced in all clinical and laboratory procedures to include lab testing, pharmacy, radiology, surgical assistance and dental. The right candidate will be able to operate a wide range of high-tech diagnostic equipment and have computer skills necessary to function in a paperless practice. Under the direction of the staff veterinarian, our techs will be active in educating clients in proper health care. Good communication skills, a sense of humor and a positive attitude are essential. Veterinary Technician Assistant
WellPet Humane, a new nonprofit wellness clinic in Chamblee is offering an excellent, full-time opportunity to become a veterinary technician and learn veterinary medicine.  The right candidate will assist our veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing quality animal healthcare to include obtaining and recording patient information, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; collecting samples and performing certain laboratory procedures; dressing wounds; assisting in diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures; exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs; communicating with animal owners and maintain a clean, safe and sterile medical clinic. The job involves welcoming and greeting clients, using the computer to schedule appointments, maintain records, invoice and process payments. Light accounting and veterinary medical experience would be a plus. Good communication skills, a sense of humor and a positive attitude are essential.
